Documenting Rosemount History - Ongoing for 2010

Rosemount Area Historical Society is pleased to be the recipient of an Endowment & Public Fund from the Hap & Jean Hanson Family Foundation in memory of Hap & Betty Hanson. Hap & Betty Hanson were residents of Rosemount and Hap Hanson was Rosemount School District Superintendent in the 1960's. Superintendent Hanson loved Rosemount and it's history, and the family has requested to have Rosemount's history written.

With this fund we are able to start putting Rosemount's history in print. The Society has over 1000 pictures of Rosemount and it's residents and we would like to share some of them, and it's history, with you. We would like to make this a "Picture History" book, so if you have pictures of Rosemount - past or present - please share them with us! Our hope is to have this ready to publish by the end of 2011.

Do you have a story or picture about a happening or event you'd like to tell about Rosemount? Maybe you have a family member that has put Rosemount in the news, or you'd just like others to know. We would like to hear from you.
