
1. Films must be on DVD-R format only.
2. Films need to be accompanied by items under CHECKLIST. (Please go to REGISTRATION link for full details.) Minnesota residents only.
3.The content of the film must be PG-13 rating or less and appropriate for a community based audience. Judges and/or RAAC(Rosemount Area Arts Council) will remove films that they deem unfit for a general audience.
4. Maximum film length is 12 minutes. (ex: 12:01 sec. is too long)
5. All Film makers under 18 years of age, must have parental signatures to enter.
6. All films, including music and scripts, must be in compliance with copywright laws. If not, you are responsible for the infringement.
7. Film must not have won an award in any previous film festival in Minnesota. (IF you have won an award and would like it shown, there is no fee, but you cannot be in the running for a prize.) For more info contact: inforaac@yahoo.com
8. Judging evaluation will be done on overall production and entertainment value.
9. Films selected will be subject to the time constraints of the festival hours and some may not be shown, No refunds will given.
10. Judging will occur prior to the festival. Awards will be presented at the festival.
11. Entry fees are as follows:
$20 per short film entered (Ex: If you enter 3 films your total entry fee is $60)
12. Make sure to check if you deem yourself a Professional (ex. have done several films or gone to school in filmmaking or similar background or you are working with a team of experienced filmmakers or crew that has access to professional equipment) vs. Amateur (ex. This is one of your first films and/or you had limited access to film equipment or experienced crew.) Judges discretion will be utilized if they deem you to be in an incorrect category.
13. Entries must be postmarked by June, 15th, 2009.
